Migrate and modernizing +350 websites

Opella, formerly the Consumer Health and Care division of Sanofi, is an independent organization since May 2025.

As part of the carve-out from Sanofi, I led the Web Platform & Martech team. Our team, composed of DevOps leads, CMS experts, GA specialists, and software engineers, migrated and modernized all company websites (over 350).

Some of the main responsibilities of the team have included migrating all websites from Sanofi to Opella’s infrastructure, establishing best standards, evaluating and contracting third-party vendors, setting up domain registration policies, and collaborating with cloud providers.

We’ve also modernized the websites, deploying a CMS, establishing an industrialization and web/factory methodology to reduce the time to market and cost per website, or introducing some marketing

Modernize operations and recapture growth in the commercial space

First American had been using a decades-old software, limiting the growth and introduction of new features.

We built ClarityFirst to modernize operations and recapture growth in the commercial space.

ClarityFirst moved the pen-and-paper tradition of real estate finance to a digital ecosystem for both escrow officers and customers.

In addition to user benefits like improved UX and shorter deal times, the platform also offered new features aligned with how First American’s customers do business.

Imagine making Netflix for standards; that’s what we did for BSI!
Introducing Knowledge allowed BSI to move from a transaction-based relationship with their customers to a subscription-based one. From paying to own a standard to paying for access to BSI’s catalog.
Hence, customers do not purchase a PDF protected by annoying DRM that prevents them from viewing the document on any device they want, but instead, subscribe to BSI content and access, view, and download standards with multiple user access across multiple sites, facilitating the distribution of knowledge across your business.

Building the most comprehensive Leave Management system in the market

Leave Management is considered one of the most important modules of any HR management system. All companies need it, and all systems offer it.

Our approach at Sage HR was bold: offer the most complete and comprehensive Leave Management module with the hypothesis that clients would be wiling to learn how to configure despite of its complexity, in exchange of sleeping well at night knowing the system once configured would calculate all the PTOs per jurisdiction.

Other products were simpler, but did not consider all variables and that meant the HR team still had to do manual corrections.

It was counterintuitive, but looking at the non-niche is what allowed us to win!

Transparent real estate geolocation in Germany

If you have ever rented an apartment, you probably have wondered if you were paying a fair price. Who hasn't dreamt with moving to another exciting city? How would you know what are the range of prices?

Our goal was helping any seeker reduce the time they spend browsing through listings, having to learn by heart the city map, districts and boroughs, transport lines, and most importantly, decide if they could afford living in the area.

We built Preis Atlas (Price Explorer in english) so anybody could find all that information in a few clicks, including price trends.

Integrating the Catalonian Lottery’s sales network across retail, internet and mobile

On April 1, 2016 the NLS lottery system went online connecting the Catalunya's Lottery’s 5000 retail point of sale devices and telecommunications infrastructure.

The system went live with all of the existing games such as ‘LOTO RÀPID’, ‘6/49’, ‘Trio’, ‘Super 10’ and ‘La Grossa’, as well as brand new scratch card games specifically developed by the local team for the local market.
